About My Business
Hi, and a big warm welcome to Chloe’s Pet Services!
Established in 2016, my aim ever since has been to provide reliable, loving, dedicated and trustworthy care for your pets in Colchester.
Do you need them to be looked after while you are working during the day, out in the evenings, busy at the weekend or away on holiday? Then look no further, as it would be my pleasure to help! My services include both dog walking and scheduled house visits to provide the best care for your dogs, cats and other small animals. I am fully insured for dog walking and pet visiting.
A Little About Me
During my time in education before setting up Chloe’s Pet Services, I spent the last four years studying at an animal-based college in Suffolk, learning all I could about animals. I wanted to have the correct training and knowledge behind me, so that I could provide the highest quality service to my clients. This resulted in me receiving two qualifications, the highest being a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. Thanks to my diploma, I am trained in animal first aid, which includes CPR and wound bandaging, so you can feel confident knowing that your pet(s) are being well looked after by someone that knows what to do, should an unfortunate situation ever arise.
I have also undergone a paid intensive course all about dogs, with a well known dog behaviourist and body language specialist. I thought this was very important as it would enable me to judge situations and make informed decisions about the dogs in my care by better understanding their body language. It’s so important to me that all the dogs in my care are calm, comfortable and content.
SERVICES
Services & Prices
Outlined below are my standard service charges for dog walking and pet visits. If your requirements vary, please still get in touch as I will do all I can to tailor my service to fit your needs.
My services run from Monday through to Sunday, all hours, and include bank holidays and other major holidays throughout the year.
Dog Walking
Currently not accepting new customers for dog walking services – sorry!
Pet Visits
One 30 minute visit:
– £10.
Two separate 30 minute visits in the same day:
– £18.
Pet visits are great for your cats and other small animals while you are away on holiday or for the weekend. I’m able to pop in once or twice per day (morning and/or evening) to provide food, fresh water, love and attention. Not only do your animals receive the care they need, there’s an added bonus! Whereas normally your house would be unattended, you will have the reassurance that your home is safe, occupied and being looked after too. I’m happy to open and close blinds, pick up post and water houseplants if required.
Deposits to Secure Bookings
I take a 25% non-refundable deposit on all bookings to secure your requested dates.
Payment
Payments to be paid via bank transfer, cash in hand, cheque or PayPal.
A Meeting Beforehand
Before I start working for you, I offer a free of charge meeting. These meetings range anywhere from 15-30+ minutes and take place in your home. It gives us the opportunity to meet one another and I’m able to answer any queries you may have. But more importantly it enables your pet(s) to meet me and get to know me before I start caring for them. Upon my arrival, I’ll bring a form with me for you to fill out. It includes questions like emergency contact numbers, vet details, whether your pet(s) is/are up to date with their vaccinations and if you would like your dog(s) walked on a lead. Each applicable form needs to be filled out before Chloe’s Pet Services can provide any pet care. I will have this form with me on the days that I care for your pet(s) so that I have all of the information to hand should I need it. The forms can either be given back to me completed at the end of our meeting or I can leave them with you so you can place them on the side completed for when I come to give the appropriate service.
While you are apart from your pet(s), over on my Facebook page ‘Chloe’s Pet Services’, there will be regular updates and pictures of them, so you will be able to check up on them and see how much fun they’re having. I will only post pictures if I have your permission.
Terms and Conditions
Cancelling with 24 hours or less notice – full charge will apply.
Cancelling with 48 hours notice – 50% charge will apply.
Failing to pay after repeated reminders – additional 10% late payment charge will apply.
